Mastercard Cashless Journey

Communications, September 2021

For most Ukrainians, cashless payments became a routine practice long ago. It significantly simplifies the buying or selling, accelerates the circulation of funds, and expands the state's authority to regulate the monetary sphere.

It is essential to talk about cashless Ukraine. So, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the hryvnia, we developed a mini campaign for Mastercard dedicated to this topic.

The main goal was to tell Ukrainians how modern payment solutions have become an inseparable part of our life and to explain why it is better than cash.

What did we do?

Our team created an interactive and educational stand and presented it at the National Bank of Ukraine Open-Air Hryvnia Museum exhibition devoted to the 25th anniversary of monetary reform. It contained various facts about cashless payments. The visitor had to sit on the bicycle and pedal to bring the Mastercard stand to life. The bubbles with interesting information lit up:

"Nowadays, 55% of the planet buys online from a smartphone."

"Kyiv is the fifth city in the world where you can pay with a card or a gadget at the turnstile in the subway."

“NFC technology can turn almost any device into a payment device.”

Those who finished a bike journey and answered the promoters' quiz about cashless payments received gifts.
